The storyline of this game:

Chapter 1 - The age of the gods

God TRANN hit the nothingness with his magical hammer and out of the produced chaos, neutrality arised. The electric sparks of this event are known as the stars of the nightsky.

Neutrality cannot exist without the good and the evil to delimit itself from them. Therefore, neutrality transformed into a good and an evil element. Instantly, the gods decided, whether they wanted to become a god of the good or an evil god.

The good gods created the world and all spirits, so they would live in happiness. The innocent animals are the purest of these spirits. The evil gods brought into being bad feelings like hunger, anger, and pain to destroy this paradise. Caused by these feelings, Orcs, Ogres, and other artificial creatures appeared.

After these incidents, neutrality was able to recreate itself by giving a single race the option to chose between good and evil. This race that is known as mankind is the weakest race but has the potential to bring back paradise or perdition to all spirits.

Through the ages, the human beings drifted from good to evil and from evil to good, monitored by the gods and other beings. Centuries of wars and centuries of peace took their turns, but neither side prevailed so far. If one side ever wins, neutrality will be destroyed and chaos will fill the universe again.

Chapter 2 - The age of the high priest

During this anxious period of time, the evil god LI-NIR MUEN showed herself to a few men and made them her priests. These priests, who carry the spider as their symbol, were led by a high priest.

The high priest, who was called Athiss, founded a mighty kingdom and started a relentless war to defeat the good. In his delusion, he underestimated faith, friendship and fortitude and an alliance of kingdoms, led by the warrior Lord Silverwood, defeated him.

Lord Silverwood killed Athiss with a sword, the so-called SILVERSWORD, made by the gods of the Good. It is the only existing weapon, that could kill an evil high priest.

Chapter 3 - The age of the king of the kings

After his victory, Lord Silverwood passed many strict laws to control the remains of the evil. To stabilize his power and since sorrows bothered him more and more, Lord Silverwood unified many kingdoms under his banner and became the king of the kings. After he was in total control, Lord Silverwood instructed the wisest men to search for the source of the magical power of Athiss to destroy evil forever.

Under the reign of Lord Silverwood's bloodline, wars stopped for centuries and the economy became prosperous. Men built big cities and developed sciences. They exposed the source of the power of the defeated high priest: Magical strings, which are invisible to the ignoramus, but interfuse all matter can be knot together like a carpet to perform unbelievable things.

With this new power, mankind was able to fight hunger and illnesses and defeated deadly enemies - even the dragons, being a plague for centuries, were repelled into their holes in the mountains. More and more temples of the gods were abandoned, because nobody needed them anymore. Too soon, people forgot about them and history turned into tales and poems.

Chapter 4 - The age of the second high priest

One of these days, King Martek ruled the land in the same way, his ancestors did before him. Martek had a beautiful daughter called Resa. She loved a young nobleman named Sebastius, who would soon become Martek's son-in-law and heir to the throne. Hence, Martek adviced Sebastius to be an apprentice to his consultant Ascanius. Ascanius was head of the biggest library and the most powerful mage in the world. Sebastius was highly talented, but impatient, and sometimes even disrespectful. Ascanius warned Martek, that Sebastius will not become a wise leader.

Sebastius came to know this conversation. He decided to become a greater mage than Ascanius to refute him and started travelling to gather more and more power. He read forgotten tales about temples of gods, containing greater powers than any human can imagine. He did not believe these tales in the beginning, but his thirst for knowledge led him to an old ruin. These remains of a temple of the evil god LI-NIR MUEN attracted him so much, that he entered the unholy chambers to become her next high priest.

With his new powers, it was easy for him, to convince King Martek to agree with the marriage. But the groom had dark plans and shortly after the wedding ceremony, Martek died by poison. Sebastius ascended the throne and took control of Martek's kingdom. To cover the tracks, the poison led directly into the library of Ascanius, who was blamed for killing the king. Ascanius divined this and escaped. Sebastius issued, to hunt down all mages and execute them.

While Martek could be lured by Sebastius, his daughter Resa could not be deceived. She sensed the inner changes of her beloved and turned towards a young stable-lad. She got pregnant by this inferior worker. After her child was born, Sebastius discovered her disloyalty. In his rage, he killed her and threw the newborn baby off the walls of the city into the river. But the near-drowning baby did not die.

A big fish swallowed the boy and carried him down the river to a small hut in a deep, lonely forest. Ascanius, masqueraded as a ranger, stepped out and took the baby inside. He raised this last survivor of the old bloodline of Lord Silverwood, who he called Ketram. Ketram turned out to be a great fighter like his ancestors. After Ketram became old enough, Ascanius revealed him his story and offered his help to end the reign of Sebastius. Meanwhile, Sebastius invaded the formerly befriended kingdoms and destroyed all libraries and universities, to built temples of the evil god instead.

Ascanius knew, that Ketram had no chance to overthrow the mighty high priest without the SILVER SWORD. He also knew about an old artifact, the so-called WEISSTEIN. It has the power to turn back time and was made in the age of the gods. Sebastius searched for this artifact, to join Athiss against Lord Silverwood in the past. He had a vision about it a long time ago, but never found the WEISSTEIN. Thus, Sebastius had always at least one spy in each adventurer group, which come close to the old mountains, where the stone should be hidden in. Ascanius and Ketram joined an adventurer group to find this WEISSTEIN.

When Ketram opened the vault, where the artifact rested untouched for so long, elite troops of Sebastius attacked the adventurer group. But Ascanius, well prepared, showed his true identity and defeated them. Ketram and Ascanius hid in the vault, while Sebastius got reported, that his teacher Ascanius showed up again. Immediately, he teleported next to the chamber to finish his old mentor. Ketram was holding the artifact, watching the epic fight between these two powerful humans.

Waited for this moment for a long time, Ascanius threw his wand on the ground next to Ketram and thought of his peaceful youth in the woods as son of a forester. At the same moment, Ascanius died by an unblocked deadly spell. By this event, the WEISSTEIN got activated and flashed in bright light and Ketram started his journey through time.

In the future, Sebastius shakes with rage, while watching the vanishing time traveller. What was Ascanius about to plan? What, if he gets killed by this unknown young man in the past? Remembering the time, when he got his first visions, he focuses as strong as possible and sends a vision to the past.

Forgotten Tales - Episode 1

The problem of time travels is, that you loose your memory. Ketram awakes at the house of the forester and starts to wander about. He arrives at a time, when Ascanius already is a powerful mage and Sebastius is about to marry Resa and become the second high priest.

The forester does not know, that Ascanius is his son; after discovering his magical talents, Ascanius left his parents years ago by faking his own death. Ketram meets Ascanius by accident and Ascanius notices, that something is odd with Ketram.

In Ascanius' library, Ketram finds several informations about the era of the gods. Because Ketram has no memory of his past, he can believe in them. The librarian, a secret evil priest, offers him a difficult job, to provoke Ketrams failing. Against all odds, Ketram completes the task and brings the unholy symbol of LI-NIR MUEN to Sebastius.

Sebastius instructs Ketram to get him some special objects for the poison assault on his father-in-law. After fulfilling this task again, Ketram is invited to pray with the monks. During this praying, a vision of a high priest shows up for all monks.

It has to be Athiss himself and the high priest commands all to kill a person, looking the same as Ketram, on sight. The monks fail to recognize, that this vision was not by the past high priest Athiss but by the future high priest Sebastius.

After Ketram escaped the temple, he is lost again. He visits Ascanius, who already figured out, that Ketram walked back in time to prepare the falling of the now unavoidable rising second high priest Sebastius:

Because Ketram appeared at his father's house, they have to be linked. Because they never met yet, they have to meet in the future. This is possible, because Ketram would have lost all his memory during the time travel and nobody in the kingdom would know him. Ascanius never believed in the existence of the legendary WEISSTEIN and time travels, but now he does.

Ascanius also knows, that you can get back your memories, if you find the exact spot, where you started the time travel. Therefor, Ketram has to find the WEISSTEIN.

Forgotten Tales - Episode 2

Ketram proves his belief in gods and finds the vault of the WEISSTEIN. Ketram's father, god LLUNER, waits for him at the entrance of the vault and shows him, how to get in. Inside the vault, Ketram gets his memory back. LLUNER does not reveal his true identity to Ketram and seals the vault after Ketram's leaving.

Ascanius considered meanwhile, that Ketram has to be of Lord Silverwood blood, since he raised him in the future. Martek...ketraM. Another proof. Ketram could be Resa's son. But, Sebastius cannot be Ketram's father, because he is human and the vault, where the WEISSTEIN is hidden, can only be opened by a demigod at least. That is why Sebastius will never find the WEISSTEIN on his own.

Ascanius does not share his thoughts with Ketram. They agree, that Ascanius has to find the SILVER SWORD in the next decades and that he will prepare their final battle against Sebastius. They also decide, that Ketram hast to go back to the future now, to avoid being uncovered by Sebastius before possessing the SILVER SWORD. Since death restarts the time travel, Ascanius kills Ketram.

Ketram finds himself back in the future in the same fight he was about to leave. Again, he lost all memories. The WEISSTEIN is disappearing in his hands and for him and Sebastius, it does seem as if the process of time travel has failed. Sebastius, who just sent his vision back in time, is reliefed, that this vision had success. He starts laughing, standing next to the dead body of Ascanius and points at Ketram with his staff to kill him.

Without holding on something, Ketram grabs the next item he can get. It is the wand of Ascanius, which transforms itself into the SILVER SWORD, protecting Ketram from the dark magic. With Ascanius' sacrifice, Ketram now wields the only sword, which is capable to kill a high priest...

Forgotten Tales - Episode 3

...before we experience the final battle between Sebastius and Ketram, we have to tell another forgotten tale...

After Ketram got killed by Ascanius - instead of being back in the future - Ketram awakes in the woods nearby the forester again. He did not lose his memories, so he has not started his journey through time yet. He hurries back to Ascanius, who is scared about this turn, because only gods can stop time travels.

There must be a god, probably LI-NIR MUEN herself, who hinder our hero. He has to break the dark magic to complete his journey...
